UEFA Cup Final Preview
If Boro come back from Eindhoven with some silverware on Wednesday night it will double the number of trophies in their cabinet. If you’ve got an opinion on the match and are thinking about having a punt, we’ve checked out the latest prices from bethilo:
It doesn’t look like bethilo expect this to be a high-scoring affair, as they are only predicting 2.1 to 2.3 goals will be scored in the match. Both are defensively-minded teams, and Seville are slight favourites to win by 0.2 to 0.4 goals. They are one of the form sides in La Liga, unbeaten in 8 and they’ve only lost 1 in their last 14 matches. Boro on the other hand have had a poor end to their campaign.
Seville are a physical bunch, especially the likes of captain Navarro, who is notoriously feisty. Bethilo has priced up at least 5 yellow cards in their “Bookings” market, and the German referee can be volatile, so he may be in for a busy night. You can’t knock Seville’s technical skills though, and playmaker Saviola will be a threat. Ex-Spurs striker Fredi Kanoute could well be back for the Spaniards, and their Brazilian right back Daniel Alves (who’s being linked with Liverpool) will be worth watching. Although Boro have got a strong spine to their team, Seville have beaten some tough teams on their route to the final, including Schalke 04 and Lille.
